Sounds good
Just what I was looking for on the explorer 5.0, it has a good sound at idle and speed without being too loud, smooth sound not popping and crackling.

very good muffler
engine is a 6.8L gen 4 ls, 11:1 compression, 220/232 112+6 cam, long tubes, no cats, 2 of these mufflers, 3" pipes, truck is now SLIGHTLY louder than when it was a stock 6.2 with cats and factory exhaust manifolds and a flowmaster cat back, HIGHLY recommend this muffler if you're looking to not pissing your neighbors off at 4 a.m. leaving for work

3000XLP on 383 C10
I just installed the dual exhaust on my 85 square body and used these mufflers. The sound aggressive but not obnoxious. At crusing speed you can hardly hear them. Awesome flow, sound, especially if you appreciate a slightly lower decibel muffler!

3000XLP Review
Installed this muffler on a 2019 Jeep Rubicon with a 3.6 liter motor and 8 speed automatic. I bought a high clearance exhaust system from MBRP but the muffler that came with it sounded like a rice rocket. This muffler tamed down that raspy sound and has a lot lower tone. At cruise speed you don’t even hear it. This is exactly what I was hoping for when I took the chance and ordered this. I especially like the fact that you can specify where you want the inlet and outlet.

I installed this on my 2009 wrangler jku that has a 6.4 hemi I dropped in 2 years ago. I'm so particular I learned to tig weld so I could have a 304 stainless exhaust the way I wanted it. 3 months later....This muffler is a piece of art with the quality of the welds and the fit and finish being the best I've seen in the muffler market. I ordered the stainless and welding to it was a breeze because of the wall thickness they use, yet this muffler is 18 lbs lighter than the other muffler I already had. The sound is perfect, raspy and loud if you're on it but so quiet at cruise you can barely hear that it's there. And ZERO drone. All in all I couldn't be more impressed with the quality of construction and the quality of sound.

Sportsman 3000xlp
I have mine on a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder. With the rear cat removed. I absolutely love the sound of this. You can hear it Rumble when you start it up or when you are more aggressive with the throttle, but other than that it has a deep mellow tone that makes the engine sound more powerful without a loud aggressive sound. It gives it that I'm not trying to hard kind of feel and I like that a lot. It doesn't drone on the highway and give my truck a capable but not harsh sound under moderate acceleration. I would definitely buy this again and it will go on my next truck for sure.

Impressive Tone!
"I purchased this muffler to install and a 2011 Ford Expedition with 5.4L V8. I installed this muffler to the stock vehicle with no other changes to the exhaust system, only a cold air intake. The muffler produces a deep rumble on start up and is quiet for a performance muffler at idle. It will roar to life under hard acceleration. Inside the cabin you will know the muffler is there, but it is not annoyingly loud and little drone while cruising. In just a few days I've gotten numerous compliments. I initially thought it to be a little louder than I hoped for (wasn't going for sound with this purchase), but it has definitely grown on me in short time. I would surely purchase this again."
